A small-press approach to learning: clear pages, careful repetition, honest materials
The Foundational Calligraphy Program is an online course built for adults living in Canada who want a reliable, readable hand. The work is practical: how to hold the pen and nib, how to set a comfortable slant, and how to avoid the common âwobbleâ that comes from rushing. Lessons stay short so practice remains the centre of the week.
Youâll practise with a simple guideline system and a methodical stroke vocabulary. That includes entry strokes, compound curves, and spacing that keeps a word legible at armâs length. We also cover ink control, paper choice, and how to finish a short piece without scuffs or fuzzy edges. The program is taught online and operated from Amsterdam, Netherlands by Limpid & Co B.V.; learners join from Canadian provinces and territories.
The page has no checkout. A request comes first, then an email reply with an invoice, and course access follows after payment is confirmed.
Schedule that fits adult time
6 weeks, 2â3 hours per week. The work is paced to make room for drying time, clean-up, and small repeat drills.
One reviewed piece by email
Youâll send one short final piece for feedback. Notes focus on spacing, rhythm, and a small set of targeted fixes.
