Last Updated: March 12, 2026

1. Acceptance of these Terms

By accessing this website or requesting a place in the Foundational Calligraphy Program, you agree to these Terms of Service (the “Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the site or submit a request.

You must be at least 16 years old to use this website. The course is designed for adults living in Canada. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the site only with the involvement and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

These Terms incorporate our Privacy Policy by reference.

2. Who we are (operator and contact)

The website and the program are operated by Limpid & Co B.V. (“Limpid & Co”, “we”, “us”), located at:

Limpid & Co B.V.
Wakkerstraat 4 H
1097 CE Amsterdam, Netherlands

Email: [email protected]

Note: The operator is based in the Netherlands. Phone support is provided via a Netherlands number and is not presented as a local Canadian number.

3. What is offered

The Foundational Calligraphy Program is a structured online calligraphy course focused on practical studio skills such as pen and nib handling, basic strokes and spacing, a readable foundational minuscule, simple capitals, ink control, paper choice, and finishing a short piece.

This is a skills course. It does not sell fonts, commissions, or guaranteed professional work. Any examples shown are illustrative of technique and process rather than a promise of a specific outcome.

4. Request-first enrolment (no checkout on this site)

The enrolment path is designed as a three-stage process:

  • Request: you submit a request using the form on the homepage. The request is an intake, not a payment.
  • Email reply and invoice: if a place is available, we reply by email and provide an invoice.
  • Access after payment: course access and materials are provided after payment is confirmed.

This website does not collect payment card details and does not process transactions. Any payment arrangement occurs after you receive an invoice from us.

5. Price, duration, and weekly time commitment

The program is offered at one price and one currency: CAD $340. The standard structure is 6 weeks, with a suggested pace of 2–3 hours per week.

The course materials are intended to be used at home with typical calligraphy tools. Your results will vary based on practice time, tool choice, paper behaviour, and how methodically you repeat drills.

6. What you receive after payment

After payment is confirmed, you receive:

  • Practice sheets (guidelines and drill pages)
  • Short lessons (studio notes with examples)
  • One reviewed piece by email (feedback on your final work)

The reviewed piece is a single, focused feedback pass. It is not an ongoing coaching subscription and not a promise of repeated revisions.

7. Refund policy

Full refund within 7 days of enrolment if you have not finished more than Module 1. Request the refund by email.

To request a refund, email [email protected] from the address used for enrolment, and include a brief note that you have not completed more than Module 1. We may ask for minimal information needed to verify the request.

8. Acceptable use of the website

You agree not to misuse the website. This includes, without limitation:

  • Attempting to bypass security controls, rate limits, or access restrictions
  • Introducing malware or attempting to probe or scan for vulnerabilities
  • Scraping or crawling the site in a way that disrupts availability
  • Submitting false, misleading, or impersonated information through the request form
  • Using the site to send spam or unsolicited messages

9. Intellectual property

The website content, course materials, practice sheets, examples, and written instruction are owned by Limpid & Co B.V. or licensed to us. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the materials for your personal learning.

You may not copy, sell, redistribute, or publish the materials (including posting full practice sheets or lesson text online) without our prior written permission. Brief excerpts for personal notes are fine; reproducing substantial portions is not.

11. Disclaimers

The website and program are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. While we take care with instructional clarity, we do not guarantee that the content will meet every learner’s expectations, that practice will produce a particular handwriting style, or that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Calligraphy involves physical tools, ink, and paper. You are responsible for safe use, appropriate workspace setup, and selecting materials that do not cause allergic reactions or damage to property.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Where consumer protection laws apply, your mandatory rights remain unaffected.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Limpid & Co B.V. from and against claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the site, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any intellectual property rights.

We will not be liable for delays or failures to perform resulting from events beyond our reasonable control, including internet outages, hosting failures, labour disputes, natural disasters, war, government actions, or cyberattacks.

16. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the website or program if we reasonably believe there has been a violation of these Terms, misuse of the request process, or activity that threatens the reliability or security of the site.

Sections related to intellectual property, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law survive termination.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect fourteen (14) days after posting on this page unless a change is required by law or is administrative in nature. The “Last Updated” date reflects the most recent revision.

18. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. The courts of Amsterdam, the Netherlands will have jurisdiction over disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms, unless mandatory consumer protection laws require a different forum.

Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us by email and describe the issue. We will aim to address disputes through a reasonable, good-faith exchange over a thirty (30) day period.
